About Clupp

Clupp is the first pay per kilometer insurance company in Mexico. The idea is very simple: people should pay based on how much they actually use what they insure. Since 2020, Clupp has covered cars, motorcycles, bikes, scooters, phones, and other personal devices. Not everyone moves the same, so the insurance should not act like everyone does.

Clupp works fully remote, with people in different cities in Mexico and Argentina. That helps the team move fast and hire good people, but it also means the admin side has to be clean. Payroll, vacations, benefits, documents, payments. If those basics are messy, remote work turns into a group chat with too many messages and no clear answer.

What challenges were they facing with payroll?

The main challenge started when Clupp decided to formally hire its collaborators as employees. That changed the game. Payroll was no longer a small task.
